Keep Early Care & Learning in the Stimulus Plan!
The Senate continues to debate the federal economic recovery stimulus package. Some members of the Senate would like to reduce the proposed allocations to early care and learning.
Tell Senators Schumer and Gillibrand to vote YES on the stimulus plan, and to actively oppose any reduction of early care and learning funding in the plan. Act NOW to save early care and education funding!
Send the letter below to Sen. Schumer, then call Sen. Gillibrand at 202/224-4451 and urge her to do the same:

Subject: Support early care & learning in the stimulus package
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
As your constituent, I urge you to vote for the stimulus package and to actively oppose any reduction of early care and learning funding in the bill. Specifically, I'm asking that you do not support any reductions to:
- Child care
- Head Start and Early Head Start
- Title I
- IDEA
This money must remain in the economic recovery package to provide early care and learning opportunities for our children and to help bring new jobs to our state.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
|
