Dear VoteVets.org Supporter, I just finished a bus tour with my fellow veterans to promote clean energy as a way to break our dependence on Middle East oil, and I wanted to give you the rundown and send some of my favorite news articles about it. Because of this tour, I got to know fellow veterans around the country, united with a common mission in a cause we believe in. We're out of uniform but our service continues. The reception we received across the country was overwhelmingly positive and supportive. Even President Obama gave us a shout out in a speech last week on solving our energy problem! Americans of all generations across the country really connected with our message, and went out of their way to thank us for our service (in and out of uniform). The media coverage was outstanding. Not only was this tour useful for positively affecting change, but I noticed many of our fellow veterans become confident and effective public speakers and messengers. The tour gave many veterans the skills and confidence to effectively fight for what we believe in. So though this tour is over, what we gained will last forever. We have you to thank for all of this. Because of your unending support of VoteVets.org, we were able to get this together. So, to close, I want to thank you for everything you've done to support us. It's having a real impact.
