Dear Friend,
Thank you again for signing our petition to Toyota earlier this
week.
Our campaign is really heating up! We've already gathered 12,917
signatures and plan to hand-deliver the petition letters to
Toyota's US headquarters shortly.
Will you please help us reach 20,000 petition letters by October
30th?
Just click here to ask your friends, family, co-workers and
neighbors to join you in urging Toyota to quit
the Chamber of Commerce immediately.
The simple truth is that far too few people even know about the
Chamber of Commerce's war on clean energy – not to mention
Toyota's role in helping fund their campaign!
Emailing
your friends now can help us blow the
lid off this news and get as many people as possible
to sign on to our petition to Toyota.
If our campaign to get Toyota to quit the Chamber of Commerce is
successful – it would be a major blow to the Chamber's war
on the climate change bill.
For years, the Chamber has been one of the most powerful lobbies
in Washington, so their outrageous campaign to block
climate change legislation poses a very real threat to the
future of our planet.
But if Toyota joins the other companies – including Apple,
GE, PG&E, Nike and Levi Strauss & Company – who have quit
the Chamber in protest, the Chamber of Commerce's days of
political influence could be numbered.
Helping us get this story out to friends and family now could
make all the difference.
Please,
tell your friends and family how Toyota is helping fund the
Chamber's war on the climate bill!
Thank you for speaking up against this hypocrisy. We'll keep you
posted as our campaign to get Toyota to quit the Chamber
develops!
Sincerely,
Michael Town
