Legislative Briefing on Early Education and Care in Massachusetts Today

 Thursday, November 5th

10:30 AM

Room B-1

Featuring Department of Early Education and Care

Commissioner Sherri Killins

Experts agree that high-quality early education has a lifetime impact on young learners and protects taxpayers’ wallets. Children who attended high-quality programs achieve greater academic success, higher test scores and improved social skills than children who did not.  Economists from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis report a 16% return on investment in high-quality early education for low-income children.

Come learn about the work the state is doing to advance this agenda, along with opportunities for Massachusetts to receieve additional funding from the federal level to help ensure that our and children get the start they deserve.
