The Governor's proposed FY 2009 budget includes $27 million in new funding for early childhood education. Unfortunately, the legislature is stalling on delivering for Kansas children.

You and I know that this is the kind of investment we need to make high-quality early childhood programs available to every family no matter where they live in the state. That's why I'm working with the Kansas Coalition for School Readiness to get this budget passed.
