Dear Friends, We at Rainforest Action Network are big fans of the Yes Men, a group of fake powerful people who correct corporate idiocy and undo corruption. The fabulous Yes Men joined RAN activists for some fun actions targeting JPMorgan Chase in New York City last month and after their New York movie premiere. Earlier this month, the stars of the 2003 film, The Yes Men, made headlines nationwide when they convinced major media outlets that the U.S. Chamber of Commerce was reversing its opposition to strong climate change legislation. Starting tomorrow, you can watch them pull more pranks in their second movie, The Yes Men Fix the World. The movie premieres tomorrow, October 30, in the Bay Area with showings at the Roxie and Sundance Kabuki Theaters in San Francisco, the Oaks Theatre in Berkeley and the Rafael Film Center in San Rafael. At tomorrow's screening in the Sundance Kabuki Theater at 7pm, Branden Barber from Rainforest Action Network will appear as a guest speaker to talk about RAN's exciting campaigns and how you can help protect the world's forests, climate and communities. There will also be a special screening on Sunday, November 1 at 5pm at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco with a Q&A following the film with Yes Man, Andy Bichlbaum, and Global Exchange's Chevron Program Director, Antonia Juhasz. After the Q&A, Andy Bichlbaum will lead the entire theater of moviegoers on a march to the Chevron station at Market and Castro for a colorful, fun and creative protest that only the Yes Men can offer! Click here for more information and to buy tickets for this special screening. For more information, including the entire schedule of screenings, visit http://theyesmenfixtheworld.com/screenings.htm. Enjoy the movie and thanks for all you do. Jennifer Krill Rainforest Action Network |
