Greetings,

Thank you to everyone who entered to be one of the first to ride the Northstar Line at our grand opening events on Saturday, Nov. 14. More than 5,000 people entered the free ride drawing. It is proof that people are excited about Minnesota's first commuter rail line.

The random drawing is underway and a letter with enclosed tickets will be mailed to those selected. If you do not receive a packet of information in the mail by Oct. 26, unfortunately you were not chosen in the drawing. However, I encourage you to attend the event at your local station on Nov. 14, when each suburban station will have a limited number of additional tickets to be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. We will send more details about the Nov. 14 events soon.

Most importantly, everyone will have a chance to ride the Northstar Line when regular service begins the following Monday. We have looked forward to Northstar's grand opening for a very long time and hope you will be there to celebrate with us.
