Yesterday was the culmination of years of hard work and commitment from thousands of individuals who have united to bring commuter rail to Minnesota. We want to thank the more than 200 supporters who joined us in Elk River to see Governor Tim Pawlenty sign the 2006 bonding bill, which included $60 million in bonding authority for the Northstar Commuter Rail project.

The overwhelming turnout demonstrated the type of strong support that has helped us reach this important milestone. Help us thank legislators, the Governor and Members of Congress for their support of Northstar Commuter Rail.

Please take a moment to write a short letter to the editor to your local newspaper. Here are some key points to remember:

• Thank your legislators, congressional members and Governor Pawlenty for their leadership on the Northstar project.
• Describe how Northstar Commuter Rail will benefit you and your community.
