Senate Bill S-3024 blames OHVs for environmental damage.

Senate Bill S-3024 is a direct attack on New Jersey Off-Highway Vehicle community. It was created solely to end off-road riding in New Jersey. This legislation was designed to be the first step in an all out ban of off-highway motorcycles and ATVs in our state and if it goes into effect it will be the end of off-road recreation in New Jersey. What this legislation will effectively do is force New Jersey Motorcycle shops out of business. The Special interest groups that crafted this legislation did it in a vacuum with the legislator and presented fabricated statistics about environmental damage as well as inflated statistics on injuries from OHVs. If this legislation goes into effect the only way that you and your family will ever be able to enjoy public land is through the window of your SUV.

Subject: I oppose S-3024 because It does not protect the environment!

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

I am adamantly opposed to Senate Bill S-3024 in it's current form, because it is not designed to protect the environment as the supporters of this legislation have been advocating, but solely designed to penalize the 300,000 responsible, law abiding residents and their families from the State of New Jersey

As one of the Senator's constituents I oppose Senate Bill S-3024 because it will be all but impossible for police and the law enforcement community to regulate and enforce.

What I'm asking you, as my representative is to vote NO on Senate Bill S-3024 until my concerns are addressed and that before any legislation goes into effect that access to state and public manage land be made available as well as the promise of the 3 State of New Jersey mandated Off-Highway Vehicle Parks.

As one of the Senator's loyal supporters I ask you to please look out for my interest.

Sincerely,

Background Information

If Senate Bill S-3024 becomes law it is going to KILL of Off-Highway Vehicle recreation in New Jersey.

This legislation will stop many possible new riders and their families from purchasing a Off-Highway Vehicle for fear of loosing their driving privileges.

If this legislation becomes law any hope of future OHV parks in the state will be history.

NJOHVA position is that we advocate responsible OHV recreation as do all New Jersey OHV enthusiast.

That's what is at stake!
