Support Video Choice in Maynard
Verizon is bringing the most advanced fiber optic network in the nation directly to the doors of homes in Maynard. Our FiOS network contains enough bandwidth to offer video, Internet and voice services to all Maynard residents in the very near future. However, to take advantage of FiOS TV, in addition to FiOS Internet and phone service, the Board of Selectmen must grant Verizon a cable TV license.
The Board of Selectmen have scheduled a public hearing to discuss and potentially vote on the license Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 7:15 p.m. at Town Hall. We hope you can join us to show your support. Once a license is issued, Maynard residents will join consumers in over 80 other Massachusetts communities who have FiOS TV as a superior choice for cable service.
If you are interested in more cable competition and everything our FiOS technology offers, please send an email directly to the town officials asking them to approve the cable TV licensing on Nov. 25. A sample letter is provided for your convenience. Please add personal information and comments to customize your letter, if you prefer.
For more information, please contact Stephanie Lee at stephanie.s.lee@verizon.com.
Thank you!

Subject: Please say 'yes' to Verizon's cable license
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
I am writing to ask town officials to approve a cable license so Maynard residents another choice for cable TV.
Verizon is building its advanced fiber optic network right here in town. The network, which brings fiber optic TV, Internet and telephone connections right into our living rooms, is the best in the nation. Today, Massachusetts residents in over 80 communities are benefiting from cable choice and the future of technology.
Maynard is fortunate to be selected as one of the next communities that Verizon is bringing this state-of-the-art network to. Thank you for your leadership in bringing Maynard residents the benefits of cable competition and FiOS. Please say yes to cable choice on November 25.
