Support Video Choice in Weston
Verizon is bringing the most advanced fiber optic network in the nation directly to the doors of homes in Weston. Our FiOS network contains enough bandwidth to offer video, Internet and voice services to all Weston residents in the very near future.
The Board of Selectmen have scheduled a public hearing to discuss and potentially vote on Verizon's petition for a license on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 8:30 p.m. at Weston Town Hall, 11 Town House Road. If you are interested in voicing your support for cable choice and FiOS TV, we hope you will join us at the hearing.
In the meantime you also can send an email directly to the town officials asking them to approve the license. A sample letter is provided for your convenience. Please add personal information and comments to customize your letter, if you prefer.
For more information, please contact Stephanie Lee at stephanie.s.lee@verizon.com.
Thank you!

Subject: We need the benefits of cable competition
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
As a local resident, I am writing to ask the Board of Selectmen to move quickly to bring Weston consumers another choice for cable TV. I understand that in order to move forward the town must submit an Issuing Authority Report. Please complete the report so that we can benefit from cable choice and FiOS TV.
Verizon is building its advanced fiber optic network right here in town. The network, which brings fiber optic TV, Internet and telephone connections right into our living rooms, is the best in the nation. Today, Massachusetts residents in nearly 80 communities are benefiting from cable choice and the future of technology.
Weston is fortunate to be selected as one of the next communities that Verizon is bringing this state-of-the-art network to. Thank you in advance for your leadership in bringing Weston residents the benefits of cable competition and FiOS. I hope you will do everything you can to ensure the process moves quickly.
Sincerely,
|
