Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
As youth in Pennsylvania's foster care system we ask that you please make every effort to change child welfare financing as part of your state budget process this year.
The Department of Public Welfare shared a proposal with you to change child welfare financing that will not cost the state any more money, but it makes sure that the money agencies spend actually helps youth in foster care and their families. The proposal helps make sure children in foster care are placed in home settings with parents instead of group homes and institutions that don't provide the same level of caring.
We have signed this petition because we know firsthand that the child welfare system needs this type of positive change. We ask that you please support the child welfare finance proposal because it goes a long way in helping to improve the system.
