Santa Clara County moves toward covering uninsured adults
Peninsula Interfaith Action, People Acting in Community Together - San Jose

People Acting in Community Together (PACT) and Penninsula Interfaith Action, working with a coalition of labor and health care organizations, are advocating a model county program that would ultimately provide affordable health coverage to 59,000 uninsured adults in Santa Clara County, California.  The program would initially provide coverage to 5,000 people working for small businesses.  PACT and Working Partnerships USA helped create the first county program in the country that covers all children with affordable health insurance.
