Campaign for Children's Health Care

Dear Advocate,

There are only seven days left before the Children's Health Insurance Program expires and millions of kids lose health coverage.

This week, Congress will vote on legislation to renew the program and provide health insurance for 4 million children who would otherwise be forced to go without it.

The President has promised to veto the Children’s Health Insurance Program and deny millions of children basic health care. If the President follows through on this threat, Congress must override it.

We are hosting a national call-in day on Tuesday, September 25 to tell Congress and the President that we're serious about protecting our children.

Please call Congress at 1-800-828-0498 tomorrow.
If you can't call then, please call right now.
Tell Congress to support children's health and fight the President's veto.

Defending his opposition to kids' coverage, President Bush claimed last Thursday that "our goals should be for children who have no health insurance to be able to get private coverage."

This puts him at odds with American parents whose number one goal is a healthy child.

Tell Congress to stand strong against the President's veto threat. Join our national call-in effort tomorrow. Please call 1-800-828-0498.

There are just seven days left, and we're ready to fight until the very end. We hope you will join us.

Thank you,

Maryellen Barreca
Children’s Campaign Coordinator
