It's time to put voters first by cleaning up Congress. Candidates for office spend too much time courting big donors and too little time listening to us. We need a Congress that is freed from excessive fundraising. We also need a crackdown on ethics abuses and more disclosure about the relationships between lobbyists and the people we elect to serve us.

I support the Voters First Pledge to make elections fair, restore accountability, and protect voters right-to-know, and I urge all candidates for federal office in 2006 to sign the Voters First Pledge.
