Amazing as it sounds, Congress is still quibbling over providing states with the money they need to provide health coverage to 10 million uninsured children. If Congress does not act before Christmas as many as 1.4 million children could lose their health coverage. States are already planning to send letters to parents telling them that their children cannot reenroll in health care. Please tell your Congressperson that our children cannot be left out in the cold. Congress must reach an agreement to cover 10 million uninsured children and it must reduce, not increase barriers for low-income children.
