The short explanation of this alert was:
The Technology Opportunities Program (TOP), administered by the Department of Commerce, provides matching grants to bring the benefits of innovative digital network technologies to underserved communities across the United States. Sen. John Sununu (R-NH) will offer an amendment to eliminate the TOP authorization, which is consistent with the President's proposal to eliminate the TOP program. Please contact your Senators and urge them to oppose any effort to eliminate the TOP program.
