Dear [ Decision Maker ],

I am writing to ask you to oppose "Network Neutrality."

The Internet is on the verge of another big change - bringing fiber optics closer to all of our homes. Finally building the "last mile" will allow us to enter the next-generation of the Internet, to connect at higher speeds and to access more services. This is a big win for everyone who uses the Internet, but it is going to take a lot of work and a lot of money to get it done.

We should all share in the cost of bringing the next-generation of broadband Internet to our communities. Should the big online companies that stand to make the most contribute something towards building the last mile, or should consumers get stuck with the whole bill? So-called net neutrality regulations would take away this consumer control while shifting the costs of deploying the next-generation Internet directly onto the backs of American consumers.

Please follow the lead of the recent House of Representatives vote, and don't reverse the longstanding "hands off" government policy for the Internet, just to protect the profits of a few giant online businesses.

Sincerely,
