A recent video has been unearthed, in which Senator John McCain in 2003 says we can just "muddle through in Afghanistan" and he was more concerned about Iraq. We know where this kind of thinking has gotten us – a resurgent al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden on the loose, and the Taliban taking back chunks of Afghanistan.
