Lobbyists for foreign governments, politicians, and corporations can avoid disclosing who they work for and how much they're paid if they don't attend meetings about their clients in the U.S. This loophole allows lobbyists to hide their work for brutal regimes and interests working against our values.
I'm concerned that lobbyists for foreign interests can hide how much money they've received to represent them, or even that they represent them at all. This foreign lobbying loophole must be closed.
I urge you to cosponsor legislation introduced by Sens. Chuck Schumer and Claire McCaskill. S. 3123, to close the foreign lobbying loophole.
