Subject:
My thoughts to protect Connecticut

Dear [ Decision Maker ],

Seventy years ago, a catastrophic hurricane ripped through New England, and it will happen again.

I'm writing to urge you to support the establishment of a Connecticut Homeowners' Catastrophe Fund. The fund would be a public-private partnership that is operated using insurance company dollars, not taxpayer money. It would help prepare and protect our families, make homeowners insurance more available and affordable throughout the state, and provide a stable source of funding for our first responders.

Nothing is more important than protecting our families from catastrophe. Please do the right thing by working to ensure that we are protected when the next catastrophe strikes.

Sincerely,
[Your name]
