Candidates for the White House are raising records amount of money and many are proposing policies to change how Washington is run. Many are suggesting that elections be publicly financed, a change that would make a significant difference in who could run and how much control voters would have over the decisions made by our government.
But none of the Republican presidential candidates have endorsed public financing. Sign below to urge those who want to be President to put voters ahead of big money.
Americans believe that there is too much money in politics. One must only look to this presidential election as Exhibit A -- more than half a billion dollars have already been spent on the nomination fights. As all the candidates are embracing "change" I want you to be specific about the change that would bring about serious reform of our campaign finance laws. It's time to put voters ahead of big money donors by adopting comprehensive public financing for all federal elections. I urge you to support it.
