Protecting New Jersey
New Jersey needs your voice to help prepare and protect New Jersey from catastrophe!
Urge members of the Senate Commerce Committee to support the New Jersey Consumer Catastrophe Preparedness and Protection Act (S-2089), sponsored by Senate Majority Leader Steve Sweeney (D-Gloucester).
The New Jersey Consumer Catastrophe Preparedness and Protection Act would not only create the New Jersey Catastrophe Fund, but would protect consumers against post-catastrophe price gouging, strengthen and enforce building codes, and spend catastrophe fund investment income for improved mitigation efforts to include strengthening first responders and better land-use planning.
Tell your elected officials to support S-2089.

My thoughts to protect New Jersey
|
Dear [ Decision Maker ],
New Jersey is the nation's most developed and densely populated state, and still, the state's population is expected to grow by a million people over the next 10 to 15 years. With this unprecedented growth, it is imperative that New Jersey take the steps to better prepare and protect itself from catastrophe.
I urge you to vote in support of the New Jersey Consumer Catastrophe Preparedness and Protection Act, S-2089.
With other states proposing a similar solution, and a Federal companion expected to move quickly through Congress, please allow New Jersey to follow suit by supporting S-2089.
Sincerely, [Your name] [Your address]
