Chart a new course for ExxonMobil

Dear Mr. Tillerson,
Our country remains overly dependent on oil. This has serious consequences, ranging from rising gasoline prices that burden every American to global warming that threatens current and future generations. This addiction to oil represents a failed energy strategy, one that your company not only perpetuates but has helped to develop. ExxonMobil needs to be part of the solution, not the problem. Cast off the legacy of former CEO Lee Raymond and start investing in America's future - it will be well worth the effort.
I pledge to not purchase ExxonMobil gas or products, invest in ExxonMobil stock, or work for the company until ExxonMobil:
* Stops opposing mandatory reductions of global warming pollution. * Stops funding front groups and junk science that mislead the public and confuse the science on global warming. * Invests in renewable energy and energy efficiency to save consumers money at the pump and help secure our energy future. * Pulls out of Arctic Power, the single-issue lobby group trying to drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. * Pays all of the punitive damages awarded to fisherman, Alaskan natives, and others injured by the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill.
I would rather spend my dollars supporting companies that move America forward not backward on energy and global warming.
Sincerely, [Your name] [Your address]
