Constituent of Rep. Howard Berman,
Please join other constituents in Brit Tzedek v'Shalom in
thanking Rep. Berman for his recent forceful statements against
any further Israeli settlement expansion in the West Bank.

Last week, during Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's visit to
Washington, Rep. Berman was frank in supporting the President's
demand for a complete settlement freeze. He, along with other
important legislators, rejected Netanyahu's efforts to stall on
this guarantee by making this freeze conditional on Palestinian
actions. As a leading member of the House,
Rep. Berman’s statements helped pave the way for President
Obama and Secretary of State Clinton's equally unequivocal
statements about settlement expansion.
We can be proud that our representative "gets it" and that he
is helping to move the peace process forward by showing the
parties that the U.S. will be firm in its insistence that they
adhere to previous agreements and avoid taking steps on the
ground that will jeopardize the ongoing peace process. Please
make sure that he hears words of support from his Jewish
constituents. Please thank Rep. Berman for taking leadership on
this issue.

B'Shalom,
Allison Lattman, Los Angeles Chapter Chair Nancy Vimla,
Los Angeles Advocacy Chair
