Dear friend,
Brit Tzedek's grassroots movement is mobilizing on
behalf of the many elected officials who are aggressively
pursuing peace between Israelis and Palestinians.
We are organizing support for the Obama Administration as well
as for Congressional initiatives and individual Congress members
who take courageous stands. Recently, we organized
constituent thank you letter campaigns for Senator John Kerry
(D-MA) and Reps. Brian Baird (D-WA), Keith Ellison (D-MN), and
Rush Holt (D-NJ) for their fact-finding missions to Gaza.
In the coming months, Brit Tzedek's expertise in grassroots
organizing will be needed more than ever to maintain the forward
momentum. Will you join us?
According to our records, you have not yet supported our work
financially, and this is what we are asking you to do now. Please make a membership donation today
and support our efforts.
What does your membership fund?
Membership dues form the backbone of financial support for
all of Brit Tzedek's work. Approximately one half of the
organization's overall budget comes from contributions from our
individual members (the rest is from a small number of major
donors and foundations).
What do these dues cover?
- Operating nearly 40 local chapters including the cost of
rental space for events, advertising, photo-copying, postage for
our newsletters, etc. (All labor at the chapter level is
volunteer so there are no chapter-level personnel costs). Click here to join Brit
Tzedek and support your chapter and all the others around the
country.
- Reaching out to the rabbis and cantors in your area and
around the country, to build and grow our 1600 plus rabbinic
network, with members across all the denominations of Judaism.
They initiate campaigns, bring Brit Tzedek programs to their
synagogues, and produce original peace-oriented materials. Click here to support the
important work of our esteemed Rabbinic Cabinet.
- Bringing leading Israeli, Palestinian and U.S. speakers to
your community and around the country, and producing innovative
national conferences. Last year, over 140 activists from around
the country participated, including many young adults supported
by scholarships paid by the annual dues of activists just like
you. Click here to support our
tours and conferences.
- Working tirelessly on a daily basis in Washington to
influence policy and provide the needed Jewish voices to support
the encouraging new initiatives now underway. Click here to help support
our stellar DC team.
- Communicating with you through our website, electronic, and
postal mailings, providing you with timely updates on late
breaking news and analysis, and with detailed resources that
educate and activate the Jewish community around the country
about our quest for peace. Click here to support our
crisp, professional communications to you and all of our 45,000
other supporters.
- Paying the salaries of our small, dedicated and hard-working
staff. Click here to help pay our
tirelessly working staff.
- Covering the rent for our offices in Chicago and Washington,
DC, which serve as the hubs from which all the efforts described
above emanate. Click here to help cover
costs of our modest offices.
In other words, dues are the vital lifeblood of the
organization -- both for the chapters, including your own, and
for the national organization. Joining Brit Tzedek is a
significant way to support the organizational efforts to bring
about a two-state resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict. Click here now.
Won't you join us today? Click here now so we can show
President Obama that American Jews expect serious action to
bring about a resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian
conflict.

In peace and friendship,
