Dear Member,
Thank you so much for all the support you have shown Brit
Tzedek v'Shalom. The eight years of the Bush Administration were
trying times for those who advocate for peace, but since 2002,
we have been able to build a 40,000-strong grassroots base in
the Jewish community, help change the nature of Congressional
discourse surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and play
a key role in setting the tone as the Obama Administration took
office.
Literally within two days of his inauguration, President
Obama moved on two of the priorities Brit Tzedek had laid out in
a letter signed by more than 1,000 American rabbis: He committed
himself to aggressive and fully engaged diplomacy in the region,
and named the highly respected Sen. George Mitchell as U.S.
envoy to the region, stating clearly that Sen. Mitchell speaks
directly for him and Secretary of State Clinton.
But this is just the beginning. Will you please continue to
strengthen our efforts to mobilize public support for the Obama
Administration as it takes strong leadership for peace? Please renew your membership
today.
As America's largest and most vibrant grassroots Jewish peace
organization, Brit Tzedek has already begun to take action --
but we need your support as we act to rally the Jewish community
behind President Obama's peace initiatives, and counter the
efforts of fear mongers who will be working around the clock to
stop any progress toward peace.
Please renew your Brit Tzedek membership
today!
Brit Tzedek's voice is recognized and respected by our
elected officials, and national leaders in the Jewish community.
If we work together, we can make a huge difference.
Your renewed support will enable us to further our important
mission. We are proud of our accomplishments, but the work is
not yet done -- we must continue to move forward. We ask you to
re-invest in the future of peace in the Middle East by
continuing your membership in Brit Tzedek.
Do not delay. Renew today at: www.btvshalom.org
Thank you for continuing to stand with us.
Sincerely,
 Steve
